IT Audit Manager

Copart seeks an experienced IT Audit professional to join their Internal Audit and SEC Compliance team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated professional who desires to develop and maintain strong team relationships. You will plan and execute internal IT audit projects in support of the company’s Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory compliance efforts. This position reports to the Director of Internal Audit and SEC Compliance.    Duties include conducting all phases of technology audits including planning, fieldwork, follow-up and remediation, and reporting results to management. Specifically, the successful candidate will assess business and technology related risks and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls. In addition, this position will serve as an advisor to Information Technology (and other areas) with regards to the maintenance and evolution of their internal control environment.   This position requires effective oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, leadership skills, and will entail extensive collaboration with Information Technology, Finance, Senior Management, various consultants, and external auditors. Travel is minimal, less than 5%.   

Qualifications Successful candidates should possess the following: At least seven (7) years of IT Audit experience in a multi platform environment; Experience with AS/400, Windows and UNIX platforms as well as WAN and LAN technologies; Experience in ERP applications – JD Edwards preferred; Experience with Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance projects; Experience at a national public accounting firm is a plus; Excellent audit report writing and management presentation skills;  Professional Certifications including CPA, CISA, CISM, CISSP are a plus; Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or a related field is desirable.   About Copart Copart Auto Auctions, founded in 1982, provides vehicle suppliers, primarily insurance companies, with a full range of services to process and sell salvage vehicles through auctions, principally to licensed dismantlers, rebuilders and used vehicle dealers.
