Human Resources Manager - Generalist

This position is responsible for providing Human Resources leadership, guidance, and counsel to Chico 's Headquarters management and associates on company guidelines, associate relations issues, compliance issues and performance management. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Represents and enables the successful implementation of HR strategy, products and services to business unit clients. Create effective teams and partnerships with appropriate HR and client groups to successfully accomplish goals Gains credibility by building collaborative relationships with the client group and associates as well as others in the HR organization Work in partnership with HR Director to provide guidance to Headquarters' management in the handling of human resources issues and exercise care that situations are well documented and are not arbitrary or discriminatory Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Makes recommendations, provides solutions, and resolves issues as challenges arise Communicates to client group regarding HR initiatives through both verbal and written communication Demonstrates a thorough understanding of business/brand strategies and objectives, the competitive landscape, current and potential future business challenges Keep abreast of legislation affecting human resources and monitor company guidelines and make recommendations for required changes QUALIFICATIONS: 5+ of progressive HR generalist experience Bachelors degree required; MBA Preferred Proven HR generalist skills including employee relations, employment law, compensation, performance management and training and development Human Resources experience in a fast-paced, large corporate environment; retail industry preferred Proven coaching and conflict resolution skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with applicable federal and state regulations Ability to develop positive partnerships and influence at all levels of an organization Good project management skills Strong Excel and Word computer skills CONTACT INFORMATION: Apply online or email your resume to: kkjobs@chicos.com #cb# xchicox NOTICE: Chico's FAS, Inc. and its affiliates (Chico's) do not accept unsolicited candidate referrals or resumes from recruitment agencies.
