High Value Customer, Sr. Marketing Manager
Job Description:Primary Purpose of the Position:Section Manager has overall responsibility for the strategic direction, development, and execution of marketing initiatives related to our existing High Value customer base and overall retail customer retention strategies. The Section Manager gathers and translates goals into specific marketing strategies that will help to retain and increase T. Rowe Price’s share of wallet among our high value ($100K+) customer segments. The Section Manager’s responsibilities range from communication strategy development and execution – including creative agency management, customer benefit and loyalty program strategy development and implementation, oversight of segment research and analytics and web content strategy and development targeted to the high value segment. Section manager partners with T. Rowe Price Retail Direct Services and Operations areas as well as other Individual Marketing Group areas to develop a continuously improving a holistic high value strategy. Section manager supervises a staff of 3 marketing managers and is responsible for budget and resource oversight, including business case development for new initiatives and funding required to effectively meet the goals of the high value business. Principal Responsibilities:*Develops and creates overall marketing strategy and programs for the high value existing customer segment and partners with the acquisition marketing group on their high value initiatives as needed. Oversees the proper planning, management and execution of these programs by members of his or her staff and/or external agency and consulting resources and vendors. High Value customer programs include, but are not limited to: High Value customer benefit program communications and product and service cross sell initiatives Development of web content and electronic communication strategies for the high value customer base, includes a focus on the account access/secure area of the web site for high value investors Management of high value benefit loyalty programs (including cost benefit analysis, benefit selection, communication and management of vendors providing services for the program) Specialty services development. Partners with T. Rowe Price Retail Direct Services, Operations, IT and Financial Planning teams, and external resources as needed to develop, implement and improve key customer services that are relevant to the high value segment Partnering with the Interactive Strategies marketing group on high value customer paper and electronic statement and other value-added output projects Serves as an advocate for product feature and pricing enhancements for the high value customer, partnering with the product marketing groups Manages the overall customer retention, win back and loyalty program efforts for all retail customers. Includes direct mail and electronic communication channels, trend analysis and program development.*Analyzes the effectiveness of current High Value marketing programs and identifies opportunities for improvement of strategy and execution as well as the development of new strategies based on insights and trends observable through key metrics. This is done through management of high value segment analytics and any needed high value customer research initiatives.Minimum Qualifications:*Experience with Project Effectiveness Tools including Investigation, Business Case Development, Cost/Benefit Analysis, etc.*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications*Performs well under time-sensitive deadlines*Possesses strong organizational and project management skills*Demonstrated persuasive techniques and negotiation skills*Eight or more years of Marketing experience leading initiatives of varying size and scope*Possesses proficient understanding of the creative development and production process*Strong written and verbal communication skills*Independent worker who is results driven*Strong analytical approach to problem solving*Experience managing and developing relationships with external marketing vendors and *Contract negotiation experiencePreferred Qualifications:*MBA*Ten or more years related marketing experience*In depth Financial Services Industry Experience*Experience leading cross-functional project teamsT.
