Hazmat Manager
Airpack, Inc. is expanding its operations with over 50% growth expected in the next 5-years; DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE PART OF THIS TEAM? Dynamic, growth-oriented, customer-focused leader in the hazardous material packaging, training and consulting arena seeks a self-motivated, proven self-starter for a key position. The successful candidate should have a history of trouble-shooting, great problem solving abilities, excellent customer service skills, and overcoming obstacles. Knowledge and experience in hazardous materials (dangerous goods) in all modes of transportation, commercial and military packaging, package engineering, contract packaging, packaging assembly and fulfillment are desired. This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing, spirited organization. Compensation structure includes highly competitive base salary commensurate with background & experience and additional employee benefits. This position reports directly to the President.
Essential Functions:
Hands-on ManagerDesign and engineer packaging according to applicable regulations and/or government standards;Assist, oversee and manage warehouse and packaging staff.
Essential Requirements:
Excellent Communication Skills – written and verbal;10-12 Years Minimum experience;In-depth knowledge of 49CFR, IATA and IMO Regulations;Previous experience as a trainer of DOT 49CFR, IATA and IMO dangerous goods regulations a plus; Proven ability to exceed targeted goals and work independently;Experience in package engineering;Experience in hazardous materials, commercial and military packaging and shipping requirements and regulations;Logistics Experience with a thorough understanding of import & exports;Experience in putting together proposals;Organized, detailed, process oriented and a team player;Responsible for Management of 4-10 employees;Requires some travel with some periods lasting one week.
