HR Generalist - Asset Management Firm with HQ in CC

Ground floor opportunity for a recent college graduate with HR Generalist experience with emphasis in payroll and benefits.  Position will start out on a contract basis with intent to make permanent.  Company offers excellent benefits including profit-sharing plan and attractive bonus program. The purpose of this position is to assist the HR managers with various HR functions including Preparation of monthly payroll when the HR Manager is out of the office; ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws Perform benefits administration including keying in information for new hires, claim resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost effectiveness Administer various employee benefit programs, such as life insurance, medical and dental, accident and disability, 401(k) and flexible spending accounts Prepare McLagan compensation survey codes for managers Prepare compensation spreadsheets for end of year salary increases and bonuses Work with managers to prepare job descriptions and assign FLSA status Work with Company corporate Human Resources to coordinate expatriate relocations and transitions Conduct new employee orientations Coordinate Human Resources procedures to initiate any form of Leave of Absence. Administer and monitor performance evaluation program Conduct employee training on an as needed basis (ex. HR Net, Performance Appraisal)  QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field and one (1) year Human Resources experience One year experience processing payroll for a 50+ person company Benefits administration experience  Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred Human Resources experience in a small company balancing multiple job requirements.
