We are currently seeking a vibrant professional for the role of Hyperion Essbase Administrator is a Virtual position.

Summary of Primary Job Responsibilities:

This is a direct hire opportunity for a person to take their Hyperion ESSBASE product knowledge to a new level. We are looking for an energetic, outgoing individual that can take on the lead ESSBASE Administrator role for a global company. Candidate will become part of a dynamic Finance Integration team with opportunities to expand their knowledge base.

 

Specific responsibilities include Hyperion ESSBASE database development and maintenance including: support of Block and ASO cubes, developing new ESSBASE databases and applications to support global financial and operational reporting needs, creating rules and scripts, importing data from multiple systems, data validation, maintaining security and utilizing ESSBASE excel Add-in.

 

Reporting and ad hoc responsibilities will include supervising the setup and maintenance of reporting tools, reviewing ad-hoc query designs that support corporate and operating needs utilizing Hyperion ESSBASE Excel Add-in and reviewing report designs that support corporate and operating unit needs utilizing Hyperion reports.

 

Other responsibilities will include:  tuning and optimization, coordinating user training needs, support report generation during period end close, monitor and report on system performance, availability and utilization, ensure data integrity between source and target systems, research and investigate data discrepancies, provide data validation reports and provide audit compliance documentation and tasks.



 

Typical Qualifications:

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related information technology degree

 

Experience Target:  Three (3) plus years as an ESSBASE Administrator required, with at least one year of experience on release 7x.

 

Skills: Strong communication and team building skills, problem solving skills, process improvement techniques, leadership skills, proactive personality, ability to anticipate potential problems.



 

Knowledge/Abilities: Working knowledge of the ESSBASE EAS, Microsoft Excel and ESSBASE Excel Add-in. Knowledge of all Hyperion products a plus. Understanding and experience in ETL a plus but not required. Oracle Financials experience is a plus but not required.

 

Shift:  Overnight shift 9pm-6am.
