HR Assistant

My name is Zahrah Fiebig. I am the Security Clearance Officer for Milvets System Technology (www.MILVETS.com). MILVETS has provided service to Federal Government Clients for the past 20 years. We are pleased to announce that we are currently bidding for a government contract and would like to offer you the opportunity to join us as 1 of 40 needed HR Assistants. Yes, 40! So if you know of anyone with the qualifications please forward this information to them!

The Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued a contract to acquire services to supplement the CBP Human Resource staff with a range of HR related support, including but not limited to the Hiring Center Staffing. Although CBP acquired additional HR staff during this transition, additional support is needed. The workload has increased dramatically since the FY 2006 appropriation requires the hiring of an additional 1,000 Border Patrol Agents. The Presidential mandate added another 6000 Border Patrol Agents to be hired by the end of 2008.

The Office of Human Resource Management requires contractor support to assist CBP staff in performing its mission. The following task will be required under the resultant contract. The contractor shall assist in providing administrative support to the mission of CBP's various hiring centers in the pre-employment processing of nation-wide, multi bureau applicants for Officer Corp positions. Work will be performed within the areas of recruitment and examining, selection processing, drug testing, medical examinations and training and scheduling, Office of Field Operations Staffing Services and Mission Support and Automated Systems. Occasional overtime may be required.

MILVETS SYSTEM TECHNOLOGY is submitting a proposal to be awarded this contract. A requirement for this contract is having a confident team of Human Resource Assistants to fulfill the appropriate tasks. This Human Resource Team shall be assigned by the Contractor upon award of the contract. Meaning if MILVETS is awarded the contract, you, as part of that team, are awarded the position.

The location is at the Minneapolis Hiring Center, BHW Federal Building, 1 Federal Drive, Fort Snelling, MN 55111. The period of performance is approximately 60 months from the award date. We have submitted the proposal as of September 2, 2008 and are expecting the announcement of the awarded by September 15th, 2008. Upon MILVETS being awarded the contract I will contact you and let you know the exact date in which work on the contract will begin. I will also notify you if the contract is awarded to another company.

Your resume looks very promising and we are contacting you to inquire if you are available and interested. I have attached a brief summary of the position:Assist with providing filing support to include storing and retrieving applicant and examining files, word processing, and general assistant duties; Assist the HR Specialist with preparing/assembling pre-employment applicant packages/forms; Operates with  a high degree of proficiency and skill on various computerized word processing equipment in preparation of technical and non-technical documents, reports, tables, ect.; Responds to all tasks and responsibilities in a professional, accurate and timely manner; Performs all tasks in accordance with company standards and procedures; Be a high school graduate with at least one (1) year experience providing HR Support Services. Be able to obtain pass a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) background investigation, this includes providing the following:

· Must be a U.S. Citizen

· Completed I-9 Employment Verification Form

· Provide 2 forms of proof of citizenship based of the I-9 Form List of Acceptable Proof of Citizenship

· Completed SF-85P Questionnaire of Public Trust Positions application

· Completed FD-258 Fingerprint Cards

· A Financial Statement

If you are interested please respond ASAP with your updated resume reflecting as many of the above listed performances and a completed Commitment Letter. Please be sure to read and type your name into the appropriate space and sign the document. This will need to be either scanned and emailed or faxed back to me. The Commitment Letter simply states that you are interested in the position and provides us a count of those on board. It does not legally bind you to anything! If MILVETS is awarded the contract and you are no longer interested in the position, or have accepted employment elsewhere, you simply state that you are no longer interested. It would be appreciated if you notify me of your discontinued interest as soon as possible. We will be required to have a full team of HR Assistants ready to work upon being the awarded, and must make sure we have the number of personnel required for the staff. Upon receiving your resume and Commitment Letter I will provide more information as to the completion of the CBP security/verification package.

The salary is $14.94. I have attached the company benefits information and more can be found at http://www.milvets.com/emp_Benefits.htm.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you.
