Global Therapeutic Area Director

, Musculoskeltal, Global Medical Affairs. This role is charged with oversight and coordination of phase 4 clinical studies, medical support of US and ex-US brand commercialization, issues management, affiliate and HQ therapeutic area training and Lifecycle Strategy planning. Job Responsibilities *Global Brand Team Co-chair: Medical lead on core team responsible for defining global strategy and managing issues with potential global impact. *Development and oversight of phase 4 clinical trials. Specific duties include oversight of medical monitoring for and responding to safety events, completion of regulatory documents, and working in close collaboration with operations personnel. *Management of clinical affairs team including therapeutic area physicians, clinical scientists and administrative staff. *Responsible for providing medical and scientific support to US marketing teams and Global Clinical Communications / Medical Science Liaisons. *Responsible for providing medical and scientific support as well as training to ex-US affiliate medical staff. *Thought leader interaction and activities including medical support at key international congresses . *Oversight of global brand issue management. *Oversight of GMA input to safety and labeling teams. *Oversight of key GMA participation on Confirm Teams. Basic Qualifications M.D. Internship / Residency. Medical Licensure. Previous experience in the conduct of clinical trials is required. Previous pharmaceutical industry experience of at least 5-10 years would be desired. Relevant clinical experience in the field of rheumatology would also be desired. Relocation is available for this position.
