GRAPHIC WEB DESIGNER/MAC COMPUTER SUPPORT Marathon Oil Company Findley, OH RESPONSIBILITIES: Meets with client personnel at all organizational levels to discuss and define communication objectives and ideas for the creation and development of a wide variety of projects, primarily focusing on web site design and development, some of which will be confidential. Creates, develops and recommends original ideas and artistic techniques to ensure optimum presentation impact for art work, web site design and other creative corporate projects. Considers budget constraints/implications when creating and developing ideas. Designs web interfaces; develops layout design and concept, creates design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and production of content, selects and secures appropriate illustrative materials to be used; develops, maintains and updates custom web sites Provides technical support and maintenance of departmental Mac computers and design software. Also, provides technical and maintenance oversight and support of output software and output devices utilized by the design group. Maintains a thorough knowledge of the computer equipment and associated software in the assigned areas of responsibilities and keeps current with new technology and software. Contacts vendors to research products and resolve technical problems; makes recommendations to department for software and equipment purchases. QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: ?Color theory, layout and design principles ?CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) ?Web servers, Web browsers and computer operating systems ?Web standards and usability standards ?HTML, JavaScript, ActionScripting, ASP Scripting, ASP.net coding and content management web tools ?Macromedia Studio MX Suite ?Adobe Creative Suite ?GoLive ?FTP ?Microsoft Office and Microsoft Expression Studio or SharePoint Designer Marathon offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
