Front End Developer / Web Designer

International Data Groups Online Publishing Group (OPG) is looking for a talented, ambitious Front-End Developer to join our team. You will work primarily on developing new interfaces and you will update and maintain content and functionality across multiple sites - including Computerworld.com. CIO.com and InfoWorld.com. Working with other OPG developers, designers, editors and sales teams in a quick-paced, iterative environment. Youll exercise your superior and intuitive coding skills to render designs into elegant, efficient code and you will use your keen ability to manage priorities to beat deadlines and keep the workflow humming.

Responsibilities:
* Function within teams to deliver production-level code that meets project requirements
* Hand code efficient, table-less, cross-browser compliant HTML, CSS and JavaScript
* Debug and fix emergent site issues
* Maintain and update sites through content management systems
* Take ownership of and manage your projects from start to finish
* Listen and communicate effectively with co-workers in writing and face to face

Requirements:
* Our ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent with 2+ years of relevant web development experience
* Outstanding HTML and CSS skills including thorough understanding of browser compatibility issues and solutions.
* Strong JavaScript skills (experience with JQuery or other JS frameworks a plus.)
* Experience in Photoshop or other graphics programs

Plusses:
* Flash and ActionScript skills
* Experience in a publishing or ad agency environment
* Experience with Ruby on Rails
* Experience with AJAX
* Experience with Velocity
