Financial Analyst II

To assist in providing financial guidance to management through the analysis of products, operations, capital requests and strategic projects. Support cross-functional projects and teams by identifying benefits and costs.


•Develops analyses and presents recommendations to senior management regarding financial and/or operational performance on such issues as productivity, operational statistics, cost trends, and revenue trends.
•Analyzes and evaluates data for corporate projects/initiatives utilizing financial, statistical, and computer modeling techniques with recommendations for improved performance.
•Develops and maintains decision and analysis models. Uses models to advise management on most prudent course of action.
•Researches and develops accurate interim forecasts and systems which integrate expense, capital and budgeting.
•Coordinates and analyzes the annual business plan, capital plan and Long Range Outlook (LRO). Performs periodic updates to the annual business plan, capital plan and LRO to reflect operating changes.
•Reviews financial plans for completeness and consistency with established objectives and priorities; monitors accomplishments of plans.
•Advises and assists senior management in determining and defining the business impact (both operational and economic) on the operation of proposed systems, capital investments, and/or product changes. Prepares feasibility/profitability studies related to proposed corporate programs and strategies while assuring a focus on the total corporate impact; ensures proper tracking and reporting of such programs.
•Prepares special projects such as development of financial policies and procedures and corporate-wide computer based information and reporting systems.
•Defines data needs and creates databases used for analyses. Establishes links/interfaces between various databases.
•Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business, finance, economics, engineering, computer science or related discipline. MBA preferred.

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years experience in financial analysis, financial planning, econometrics, engineering, business consulting, project management, accounting audit or operational analysis.

Required Skills Demonstrated knowledge of advanced spreadsheet applications and computer modeling techniques. Excellent analytical, time-management, organizational and multi-tasking skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
