Field Property Claims Adjuster

Job Description:The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an experienced Field Property Claims Adjuster. This is not a trainee role. The selected candidate will work out of their home and would ideally be located in or near Rochester, NY. The territory includes Rochester, Buffalo and other locations in Western New York. The adjuster is responsible for all aspects of personal and commercial lines property losses.A company car will be provided.Responsibilities: Evaluating and analyzing coverage Preparing estimates and where appropriate, review vendor's estimates Investigating losses with the assistance of SIU and the subrogation unit Conclude losses with our policy holders consistent with our best practices Requirements: Knowledge of personal lines and commercial lines coverages Must be able to scope building losses and prepare estimates on Xactimate Evaluation of personal property losses and business income losses also required Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently is required.
