Field Engineer, HVACR QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 10 years experience in an industrial HVAC/Refrigeration & electrical maintenance or equivalent educational background plus experience Trained and EPA Certified Universal Refrigeration Technician National Joint Apprenticeship Training - Journeyman electrician license Supervisory or crew/job project leadership experienceDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Key person responsible for performing maintenance and improving performance of freeze dryers in B and P. This is a critical function and a priority for Operations. Perform functions in support of freeze dryer processes as described in other responsibilities Assist with HVAC/Refrigeration (including electrical/electronic controls) troubleshooting, design, estimating, proposals and implementation of projects and equipment modifications within the Facilities and Engineering groups as needed Perform preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance activities relative to HVAC / Refrigeration systems Work within cGMP manufacturing and safety procedural guidelines. Document work in detail on work orders. Accurately records work in equipment log books and controlled documentation. Makes notes and corrections to procedures, manuals and drawings as per procedures Installs, troubleshoots and maintains hydronics systems including chilled water, hot water and tower water systems Troubleshoots and maintains boiler systems including electronics, gas and combustion analyzation Utilizes electrical & HVAC/Refrigeration maintenance tools safely and effectively. Uses correct tools and repairs/replaces faulty tools before utilizing them Maintain EPA requirements relative to refrigeration/HVAC systems Familiar with National Electric Code interpretation and application as it applies to HVAC/refrigeration systems. Following applicable code, installs power supply and control wiring and conduit for new equipment and equipment repair/modification Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment, and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment Utilizes multimeter and other instruments for troubleshooting and verifying voltage, current/resistance and wiring continuity Knows difference between motor types; circuit breaker and fuse types; knows proper application of conduits, boxes, lamps, covers and plates. Knows applications of AC & DC power and various voltages Uses appropriate tools and materials to cut and bend metal conduit. Assembles conduit and fittings using compression fittings. Works with various types of metal conduit. Can cut and thread rigid conduit and PVC coated conduit where applicablelogET();PauseFooter(false); Corporate Site
