The Family Therapist is responsible for the following:exercising independent judgment and discretion, provides, coordinates and arranges for family therapy services for Phoenix House Adolescent program both for residential, day treatment, and after care participants.obtaining and interpreting information in terms of clients needs, client growth and development, and the range of treatment needed by clients served.provides individual and family therapy, treatment planning, case management, advocacy, counseling, crisis interventions.assist clients with the understanding and skills development to alleviate and/or reduce stresses and emotional problems.Services are coordinated within the treatment team and the Family Therapist/Social Worker helps the client optimize treatment recommendations and program services.

The Family Therapist is expected to perform their duties in alignment with the vision and shared values of Phoenix House. They are responsible for upholding regulations established by the Department of Social Services for the state of California.
