For more information on Alcon, Inc., visit the Company's web site at .The Primary responsibilities include: Initiate and review applicable standard operating procedures, prepare and implement capital appropriations, review and perform cost analysis studies, investigate and evaluate, specify and select and or install facility equipment to enhance the facility function.Directs and manages some facilities projects including but not limited to process flow layouts, machine installations, space planning, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement projects for the facility. Manage all environmental and safety regulatory compliance for the ITC to include writing and implementation of SOP's, managing audits and the follow-up process, provide training on necessary environmental and safety topics, and facilitation of the Safety and ISO14001 Committees.Maintain ISO14001 Environmental Management System through continuous improvement process to ensure certification. Provide training to all ITC employees. Develop and implement a system for ITC to identify & evaluate hazards and implement corrective actions. Perform periodic on-site reviews to evaluate compliance status and limit liability.Develop and approve safety and environmental written programs for ITC which specify the local procedures, training qualifications and methods used to assure compliance with regulations and Alcon best practices.Oversee and manage safety and environmental projects and responses to government inquiries or internal agencies and ensure that permit conditions are being met.Facilitate strategic projects such as Emergency Response Team, Disaster Recovery Team, Medical Aid Team and other related teams.Education/Experience Requirement:Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Safety or Environmental SciencesOSHA related certification (preferred)4 years facility or safety engineering experience with one year medical device manufacturing preferred. Must have strong training facilitation, project management skills, excellent negotiation and team building/leadership skills.
