Experienced Production Operator - Plating/DES Etcher

POSITION SUMMARY

Manufacturing positions in Plating and DES Etcher. Operate machinery/ equipment in the production of circuit boards in a team environment. This position also requires working around chemicals processes. In Plating a conveyorized desmear line that prepares the panel for the LB Line by desmearing (cleaning) the holes.  This is a horizontal conveyor machine that has an automatic on loader and off loader.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

 Ability to follow instructions under limited supervision Ability to handle complex tasks and processes. Ability to effectively use measuring equipment. Ability to operate shop floor computer system (Oracle) Capable of learning and interpreting customer standards, blueprints and shop control documents. Good English written and oral communication skills. Good problem solving ability.Prior PCB experience preferred.

Run a mechanized plating line. The operator will react to different situations and need to react to different changes within the line mechanisms.

Because of some of the equipment issues (crashes, etc) the operator is required to make adjustments to the equipment.  Sometimes this means hanging or walking over chemical tanks.  Also they make adjustments while the line is still running.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONSIDERATIONS

Graveyard Shift

Long periods of standing (10-12)

Lifting up to 35 lbs. regularly and periodically up to 50 lbs.

Working around noisy equipment and chemicals

Because there is a lot of detail involved in keeping the line running, a person who will take responsibility and ownership of the line would be preferable.  Direct contact with chemicals does occur from time to time so someone who would not be averse to working with them.
