Exchange Systems Administrator (1591)
This position will be supporting the TNS/NA Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server needs. It will entail troubleshooting, proactive management, security management, heavy operations and ensuring optimal performance standards are met. Associate will be responsible for day-to-day administration of email and Active Directory technologies. This individual will have a strong overall knowledge in messaging, to include specific knowledge in administering Microsoft Exchange. The individual should have knowledge of Exchange 2000/2003, SMTP gateways, RIM technology (Blackberry Server), anti virus (pertaining to mail flow) and anti spam systems. Required Skills: Manage and administer the Exchange 2003 environments, ensuring ongoing health of the system by monitoring performance, operations, capacity planning and infrastructure updates based on organizational requirements. Manage User Accounts, Storage Groups, Quotas, Retention Policies, and ensure that mailboxes are properly distributed. Experience with Integration of SharePoint and Exchange a plus. Respond to or coordinate the response to incident, problem, and change management requests made to the Exchange 2003 environments in order to meet service levels and/or quality-related goals. Have deployed Exchange, administered Exchange servers and Exchange server clusters. In depth break fix experience with MS Exchange. Solid experience with most of the MS platforms - namely MOM, SMS and Exchange. Experience having coordinated Exchange migrations from older versions (small and large scale). Experience with Microsoft clustering or other high availability solutions for Microsoft Exchange. Blackberry Enterprise Server experience. Support server hardware setup and configuration. Develop and maintain detailed documentation relating to procedures, processes and standards. Participate in the planning, testing and implementation of upgrades and patches for Exchange and Operating System. Manage, maintain and restore mailboxes and public folders. Analyze and evaluate email archive strategy. Resolve email routing, connectivity and general support issues. Tune hardware and software to insure optimum performance and resource utilization. Develop, maintain and test business / system recovery procedures. Evaluate and recommend new procedures, software or other tools to enhance capabilities Provide effective oral and written communication to management as requested for the status of day-to-day operations and for specific projects. Provide support and resources for the implementation, go-live, and ongoing support of new systems or applications. Ability to manage multiple large scale projects in a fast paced environment and provide leadership for other members of the team. Managing configurations and the deployment of equipment in compliance with established policies. Ability to recommend technical solutions that will enhance performance, increase redundancy, high availability and add flexibility to the existing infrastructure. The ability to provide detailed documentation is a must. Use of Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint necessary.Experience Required: 4+ years experience in Email Exchange Administration, preference given to those with experience. Minimum 4+ years operational experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003. Minimum 4+ years experience with install, configuration and support of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Servers. Full understanding of Active Directory, GPO, DHCP, WINS and DNS. Full understanding of TCP/IP and related networking protocols. Process-minded, with high energy, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Detail orientated with great organizational skills. Good decision making skills with the ability to prioritize, anticipate needs, and propose pro-active solutions.
