Join our team!  Groundwater monitoring is a great job for a person who wants to work outdoors, has a high level of responsibility, and can work independently.  We provide the tools and the training that enables you to quickly begin environmental sampling that is correct and repeatable. 

 

Good Driving Record:

Sampling Technician position requires safe operation of our specialized sampling vehicles and the onboard equipment.  A valid CA driver's license and good DMV record (verified with a recent printout) is required. 

 

Drug Testing and Background Checks:

Some sampling is performed at “safety sensitiveâ€� sites such as Department of Defense facilities, petroleum pipelines, refineries, chemical plants and port facilities.  Personnel entering these sites are subject to searches, need to have background checks, and undergo drug screening in compliance with federal regulations and requirements of the Department of Homeland Security. 

 

Science and Environmental Studies degrees are desirable.  However, persons with outdoor work experience and a strong desire to perform technical work in the environmental field may also apply. 

 

OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training certificate is a plus, but all OSHA compliance training is provided without charge. 

 

There is some mandatory overtime.  Some overnight travel within California is required.


The position is Full Time.  The starting pay is $16.00/hr.  Regular work schedule is four 10-hour days per week.  Benefits Package includes health insurance and a 401(k) plan with company contributions.
