Enterprise Support Engineer Needed (Long-Term Contract)
Our client, located in Sacramento, is seeking a Web Conferencing and Email Enterprise Support Engineer for a one-year position. Description:Client has over 30 enterprise messaging servers composed of DELL PowerEdge servers running Windows operating systems, Exchange 2003, Web Conferencing and Email Enterprise (BES) 4.0 and Active Directory and are managed by the central Enterprise Messaging Unit (EMU). Client requires technical expertise to upgrade, manage, monitor and support the departments’ Avaya Web Conferencing system. The consultant will also design, test and review a new web conferencing system or service. The web conferencing system allows users to access training and meetings via their internet browser from remote locations. The web conferencing system is a critical system that both departments rely on for day to day business operations. This contract will provide a full-time server engineer/consultant to assist in the management, support and maintenance of this system and provide knowledge transfer and training to state staff on the existing and new web conferencing systems. In addition, the web conferencing system has servers located in two locations and has site-to-site failover capability. The consultant will be required to support the web conferencing system at both Sacramento and Richmond locations. The candidate will also be required to perform the tasks of an email enterprise system administrator when not performing the primary duties of a web conferencing system administrator.Client needs a full time consultant to perform the projects and activities. The consultant is expected to work an average of 40 hours per week or 2000 hours per year. The consultant will be required to carry a pager or cell phone during after-hours which includes any hours not designated as the consultants normal work shift. Required Skills/Experience:The consultant must have the following minimum qualifications. Candidates may be screened out if their resume does not contain sufficient information regarding each of the required qualifications: 1.3 years Exchange 2003, Outlook and Active Directory experience;2.5 years Microsoft Windows server operating system experience; 3.5 years working in a large-scale enterprise environment; 4.2 years Web Conferencing technology deployment, administration and support; 5.3 years Email Enterprise System administrator experience; and6.2 years Blackberry Server experience.If you are interested, please contact Amir Holmes at (916) 403-4069 or via email at amir.holmes@modis.com .
