Engineer (Software Engineering)

SUMMARY: With guidance of senior engineers, develop custom firmware for various embedded applications including data acquisition systems, field analysis, and control applications; design and develop working hardware from concept through delivery, design and develop robust, high-speed systems in a rapid development environment, utilize off-the-shelf hardware, software, and IPs to facilitate a fast deployment.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Must have at least a 3.5 GPA. Experience in writing embedded software for microcontrollers in C and Assembly language is a must; experience with MSP430s, ARM cores, DSPs, 8051, or 8086 is a plus; knowledge of VHDL or Verilog and experience in developing firmware for CPLDs or FPGAs is also a plus; general familiarity with digital hardware is required from the gate-level to PLDs; experience in testing and troubleshooting circuit boards is desired. The ability to use laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, funtion generators is required; experience with logic analyzers is a plus. Job related travel and field testing may be required.
