Email Marketing Manager

Position Description:

Supervisory and professional development responsibilities for Email Analysts & Email Production Specialists
Guide and mentor team Email Analysts & Email Production Specialists to execute programs on-time, on-budget and without errors.
Present at all planning/kick-off meetings to assist resourcing decisions
Monitors and manages email operations resources during email development process
Requires detailed knowledge of deployment tool
Deploys most complex campaigns
Grows Email Analyst expertise/skills to be back-up on complex campaigns
Strong knowledge of email best practices
Focus on deliverability related-issues across all clients
Works with Email Strategist
Assists with QA for Email Analyst campaigns
Review project requests from clients to determine how to implement using established processes and best practices, or scope production requirements for custom projects.
Decision maker on priorities and direction for communication implementation
Provides team leadership
Responsible for accurate, timely communication of all email status, risks and developments to the client, project management, and account directors.



Position Requirements:

Background in Client Services focused with an obsession for delivering quality and outstanding customer experience
8+ years experience in one or more of the following: integrated marketing, direct marketing, or interactive agency. Email experience is a must.
Desired Qualifications:
General knowledge of Interactive marketing
 Email knowledge
Knowledge of both PC and Mac computers
Ability to learn new technologies and software packages quickly
Experience with online media, e-commerce or entertainment properties
Proficiency with HTML

Strong knowledge of database management, ecommerce, web analytics, web services, and application service providers (ASP's)
Knowledge of email deliverability
Ability to execute highly complex email campaigns
Advanced knowledge of HTML, email, and/or quality assurance for interactive campaigns
A proven history of managing multi-phase/multi-dimensional/multi-resource projects while maintaining high customer satisfaction within defined parameters (timelines, budgets, etc)
Ability to translate information (including project requirements and project goals) to both technical and non-technical personnel
Good to strong understanding of other interactive marketing channels and applications, including search, website development, online media, and mobile
Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with project management and interpersonal communication abilities
Outstanding attention to detail and high personal quality expectations
Superior computer skills (Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, HTML)
Knowledge of both PC and Mac computers
4-year BA or BS degree (preferably in Marketing, Business Management, Economics, Statistics or other related coursework)
