Docket Administrator

Located in Downtown, Cleveland our mid-sized law firm is currently seeking to hire a Docket Administrator.



Responsibilities for the Docket Administrator include:

Maintaining IP docket records using the firm’s docket software system



Assisting with annuity payment/procedures



Inputting quarterly rule updates



Assisting with maintaining the litigation docket



General docket procedures including mail distribution, daily docket input and pulling and distributing files



Downloading patent references and office actions from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office website



Monitoring internal and external email from the "Docketing" mailbox and distributing information appropriately





Qualified candidates will have the following:

At least two years experience working for a law firm in Docketing or as a legal secretary/assistant (IP experience preferred)



Minimal education credentials of a high school diploma or GED



Be a motivated self-starter who is detail oriented and can successfully work independently, as well as within a team



Good interpersonal and communication skills in order to provide information with ordinary courtesy and tact to all staff and clients



Computer skills (Email, Internet, intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word - experience in Microsoft Access a plus.)



Basic knowledge of office equipment
