We currently offer more than 50,000 regularly-stocked products to our customer base through a sales force of over 1,500 professionals.  Headquartered in downtown Cleveland, OH, Barnes Distribution is a $537 million global company with operations in North America and Europe.   We are currently seeking an experienced, results-oriented District Sales Manager to join our sales organization for the Denver market.  Denveris a dynamic and growing region requiring a hands on leader who can successfully bridge strategy and tactic.  In this role you will spend 60- 80% of your time in the field working with your sales team in the greater Denver, Durango, Grand Junction and Fort Collins areas.  You will train, coach, mentor, develop your staff and lead them towards continued growth and success.   Position Responsibilities: Directly manage approximately 15-25 sales representatives and 2-5 service representatives. Develop strategic sales plans in conjunction with Regional Vice President to ensure revenue and profit objectives are met Develop plans with the Regional Vice President on an annual basis and as warranted to improve performance to meet sales plan and profit objectives. Ability to effectively communicate vision, plans, goals and objectives to subordinates to ensure effective execution and optimize productivity of sales professionals. Direct and control the activities of sales representatives within the region. Responsible for manpower planning including routing, recruiting, retention and engagement. Responsible for recruiting, on boarding and training as well as coaching and developing current and new sales personnel. Evaluate sales professional development growth and provide effective performance monitoring and correction plans in conjunction with human resources. Provide appropriate monthly internal reporting to management as required.   Position Qualifications: Three to five years of proven successful sales management experience. Four-year undergraduate degree or equivalent job experience required.  Graduate business or marketing education such as an MBA is preferred. A track record of achieving profitable sales growth and managing a team of experienced sales professionals with a strong emphasis on market growth, manpower and customer planning, engagement and building a team environment. Strong leadership, development and managing a geographic market and sales employees. Demonstrated success in selling value-added products and/or services within the industrial and transportation marketplace. Industry experience preferred. Strong maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) product knowledge. Financial acumen with strong decision making skills.
