Director of eMedia Technology
Diversified Business Communications seeks an experienced web technical leader to serve as our Director of eMedia Technology, responsible for the technical architecture, development, delivery and maintenance of our technology platform for our web products. The Director of eMedia Technology will work closely with the eMedia product development team to convert business requirements into technical specifications and with the IT team to ensure consistency with DBC’s overall technology strategy. They will be responsible for technology selection, ongoing management of sourcing vendors and direct oversight of software architecture and development/delivery by both internal and external resources.

The successful candidate must be comfortable within a matrix organization and will have demonstrated significant leadership and proven team management experience coupled with direct software engineering background.

Specific requirements: Four-year technical/information science degree or equivalent industry experience;Â At least 10 years experience in application development with significant knowledge, exposure and experience in engineering, architecture design, integration, implementation and maintenance of Microsoft .Net platform solutions and integration models within mission-critical environment(s). Team management experience and strong grounding in project management, software development lifecycle management and vendor relationship management. Internet-related systems & protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, etc); web services, SOAP and related APIs skills; VB .Net and/or C#.net; Experience with web authoring and development tools (Ektron CMS and Sharepoint) Experience in performance/optimization techniques and application security best practices
