Director of Finance

Time Warner Cable’s Southwest Texas Division office, located in Flower Mound, Texas currently seeks a Director, Finance.

The Director of Finance will assist in the attainment of all Division financial goals through financial reporting, budgeting, long-term planning and financial analysis. This position, reporting to the Vice President, Finance protects the company’s assets by implementing tight internal controls and assisting the Division President and other decision makers with accurate financial trends analysis and projections and alternate ideas and suggestions to improve operating performance.

Primary responsibilities:

• The preparation of the annual operating and capital budgets, monthly Outlooks, monthly statistics closing, as well as developing and interpreting comparative analyzes.
• Direct reports include Managers of FP&A and Capital. There are 5 Financial Analysts who report to these managers.
• Forecast financials on a monthly basis through review of analysis, interaction with departmental leadership, awareness of the local economic climate and industry trends.
• Lead the Division’s annual cash flow and capital budgeting process.
• Assure that all financial transactions, reporting and record keeping for the Division meet Corporate, State and Federal standards.
• Review and approve all capital spending requests for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Perform NPV, IRR and pay-back analyzes for capital spending projects.
• From a financial leadership perspective, provide strategic direction in the areas of FCC rate regulation, acquisitions, and coordination of real estate transactions.

Job Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in accounting and finance in the CATV or Telecom industries.
• Must have management experience.
• Must have good coaching skills.
• Must have excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Advanced PC skills required including Excel, Access and PowerPoint. Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus.
