DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – SAPIENT INTERACTIVE: Mid Atlantic RegionAbout Sapient Interactive:Sapient Interactive provides brand and marketing strategy, award-winning creative work, web design and development and emerging media expertise. Primary Responsibilities: Identify, build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with new and existing clients to win new work. Develop approach for and generate leads in key focus areas consistent with the strategy in the region. Lead generation maybe supported by front-end sales person. Develop sales strategies to identify and influence potential customers to generate new business. Support the growth of multiple customer accounts within the region. Work closely with Sapient’s regional teams to identify joint business opportunities to increase customer value and drive revenue growth in your territory. Partner with Sapient’s delivery subject matter experts and consulting teams to achieve customer objectives and increase satisfactionGoals: Responsibility for the success of establishing and growing Interactive business in the Mid-Atlantic region Pipeline generation and new business development Client relationships/project success Establishing a local base of recognizable, referenceable accounts to help build the Interactive story for the regionAdvantages: Responsible for own region Part of a healthy thriving business area that is well supported with local resources as well as corporate investment and sponsorship Joining a highly motivated team with a high performance culture dedicated to success; company and individualExperience Guidelines: At least 10 years of Business Development/Sales experience, of which 3 years must be in Interactive web technology related sales including specific professional services sales to management/executives of fortune 1000 companies Prior experience being the primary driver and closer of services engagements exceeding 1M in sales revenue Track record of meeting or exceeding annual quotas History of establishing, expanding and closing service engagements including some that were considered long term, those that involved fixed price components and those that utilized remote delivery capabilities Competitive industry knowledge in Interactive/eCommerce segments Extensive network within the commercial greater Washington DC area and/or Mid-Atlantic region Ability to forecast with background details supporting your assessment Ability to navigate an opportunity through a sales cycle end to end Ability to make compelling presentations to an audience of diverse business stakeholders Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills Ability to travel to client sites and industry events, as needed Excellent verbal and written communication skills Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteTravel requirements: Within region as required by client activity (25% to 75%)Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or technology related field.
