GENCO is looking for Supply Chain Sales Executives and Consulting Professionals for our Director of Business Development position in our Reverse Logisitics Business Unit. If you have 5-10 years of Business Development experience specific to the supply chain industry and are looking to be part of a leading Supply Chain Management Company, offering exceptional compensation opportunities, we are interested in speaking with you.

As Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for constructing and leading sales efforts to increase GENCO’s presence in the Third Party Logistics industry. In the position you will be presenting GENCO's Reverse Logistics Solutions including: Reverse facility management, R-LOG, our proprietary WMS systems, Refirbishment solutions and more. The Director of Business Development serves the critical role as the company’s point of contact with assigned customers and develops leads for potential new customers.

The Director of Business Development is responsible for providing value to GENCO’s customers, teammates, and management. This is accomplished through strategically executing the sales goals of Reverse Logistics, identifying and developing new business and managing sales activity. This includes a proactive approach that applies high quality, knowledgeable expertise to the identification and closure of timely and profitable sales. This location of this position is open but must be near a major metropolitan airport.Compensation would include a base salary in the $80,000 to $120,000 range based on experience and would offer the opportunity to earn up to 80 to 100% of salary based on performance. This position also offers a car allowance.

The position is responsible for:
Meeting and exceeding new business revenue goals.Presenting GENCO’s supply chain management capabilities to various audiences within targeted industries and securing new business.Creating and maintaining a high level of direct interaction with executive decision makers.Conducting competitive intelligence assessments as required.Driving proactive suggestions for new solution development, continuous improvement, and productivity enhancements – marshaling the resources within GENCO required to capitalize on value creation opportunities.Identifing and cultivating new business opportunities through research, networking, cold calling, and follow-through.Following up, qualifing, establishing sn appropriate pursuit plan, and reporting in a timely manner on all leads and introductions provided from a variety of sources.Cross selling GENCO’s suite of services in a team environment.Developing and implementing account plans for major and/or strategic accounts.Managing all aspects of the “sales pipeline”.Maintaining accurate performance, activity, and prospect/client data to include timely updates and effective use of the corporate Siebel CRM.Measuring and communicating the value of GENCO’s solution(s).Attending and representing GENCO at trade shows and other targeted industry events).Coordinate and manage the resources engaged in the development of solution proposals and presentations (developed both through formal Request for Proposals and through non-solicited proposals) – to include customer needs assessment, identification of required resources, management of customer expectations, and all subsequent follow-up necessary to secure the sale. Ensuring adherence to GENCO’s policies and procedures.Communicating in a positive manner with all areas and levels – prospects, customers, GENCO teammates and management.Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.Completing other tasks as assigned.

Required Skills


The successful candidate will have:
College degree or equivalent preferred.Demonstrated, quantifiable ability to generate new sales prospects and secure new business and maintain / expand existing clients.Ability to formulate, present, and implement tactical selling plans and business reviews to both prospects/customers and internal GENCO management.Minimum five (5) to seven (7) years in outside sales – logistics services / transportation / warehousing background. Solid understanding of the theory and practice of supply chain management.Ability to provide clear direction and guidance to support staff to gather necessary data and to propose and implement the right solution.Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and organizational capability.Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.Self starter – requires the proactive exercise of judgment and action and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience / understanding of reverse logistics solutions.Ability to accomplish goals and objectives utilizing available resources.Travel is a major component of this position.
