Org Marketing Statement NorthBays mission is to challenge students to realize that their attitudes and actions have a lasting impact on their future, the environment, and the people around them. NorthBay was funded by the Erickson Foundation, a philanthropic division of Erickson Retirement Communities, in order to advance best practices in active aging and educational opportunities for youth. NorthBay is supported by partnerships with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and Department of Education, allowing the facility to host more than 10,000 middle school students each year. With a full time staff of more than 100 professionals, NorthBay uses experiential education to instill confidence, knowledge, and leadership in young people. Qualifications * Results oriented with strong passion for accomplishing goals. * Outstanding oral and written communications skills. * Advanced knowledge of fundraising requirements and techniques for charitable non-profit organizations. * Business and financial acumen. * Strong background or interest in the camping or marketing industry. * Bachelors degree, preferred. * Minimum of five or more years work experience fundraising in a corporate environment with experience working with schools, government and corporate clients, preferred. * Strong leadership experience required. * A proven track record of attaining sales goals and successfully managing a marketing staff. Responsibilities * Oversee marketing and fundraising functions surrounding the school, summer and weekend programs. * Direct all advertising, public relations, government affairs and development plans. * Create and maintain contact with a wait list of prospective clients and fundraisers/donors. * Write grant proposals. * Identifies and solicits new sources of funding. * Support camp personnel by setting and attaining occupancy and financial goals. * Builds strong relationships with donors and prospects.
