The Diamond Grader is responsible for completing the diamond grading process for all diamonds over 0.18 carats procured by Tiffany & Co. to ensure that they meet company standards.     Diamond Graders are required to participate in and successfully complete a paid, Tiffany & Co. Gemological Laboratory Instruction program, which includes diamond grading standards as well as plotting. Instruction in operational functions including the systematic entering of all diamond information for Certificate Processing and a working knowledge of Laser inscription and Sarin evaluation will be included in the training. Responsibilities include applying Tiffany & Co. gemological standards in all aspects of Diamond Grading, including evaluating: Cut, Color, Clarity, Carat Weight, Fluorescence, Polish/ Symmetry & Proportion verification to ensure that all diamonds meet Tiffany & Co. standards as they relate to round brilliant cut and fancy shaped diamonds greater than .18ct., as well as utilizing Tiffany & Co. custom technology and defined gemological guidelines to plot diamonds in specified shapes and weight ranges. In addition, the Diamond Grader is expected to carry out departmental priorities and projects as set forth by Diamond Division management and maintain projected productivity levels by completing the full grading process with timeliness and efficiency while maintaining quality and accuracy. Systematically maintain data information as part of diamond certificate processing. The qualified candidate will be a Graduate Gemologist/Diamond Graduate with 2 years Diamond Grading experience, operational knowledge of Microscope/Loupe; Sarin Machine, Leverage Gauge; Moissanite Tester; Color Master comparison stones; Fluorescence Box. Must be able to use a microscope for extended periods, willing to work overtime as needed by the business. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and have the ability to follow Tiffany & Co. quality standards.
