Job Description:

We seek an experienced Development Officer for the Pardee RAND Graduate School (PRGS), the world’s leading producer of Ph.D.s in policy analysis. The ideal candidate will have an interest in public policy and experience in fund-raising for academic programs. The successful candidate will be an entrepreneurial self-starter, experienced in networking and building strong relationships, and who has a proven track record in major gifts fund-raising or a similar enterprise. This person will join a team of major gifts Development Officers and will be expected to contribute toward the achievement of the overall goals and fund-raising objectives of the RAND Corporation. He/she will have the ability to work in an exceptionally collaborative environment and effectively communicate RAND’s mission.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Planning and implementing a major gifts program Supporting the board of governors and developing volunteer leadership Providing fund-raising support and guidance to the Dean of PRGS

Educational requirements: BA/BS and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; advanced degree preferred.

Other: The position will involve occasional travel to New York, Washington, D.C. and other areas Raiser's Edge experience a plus

Related experience required: Minimum of 3 years
