Department Operations Manager

Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:- Directly lead, supervise and manage a team of Unit Managers and Managers in Training - Drive associate performance and development - Train and develop staff so that they have the tools required to efficiently and effectively complete job responsibilities - Mentor direct reports - Manage various projects/initiatives as they relate to the core business of the Loss Mitigation Department - Strong integrative thinking, creative problem solving; strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to negotiate and influence others - Continuously analyze current business work flows and productivity/efficiency results in order to seek process improvements - Develop strategies in a fast-paced environment where new variables are constantly emerging - Manage to staffing and financial budget requirements - Drive risk mitigation strategies that impact the P&LJob Experience:Basic Qualifications: - 4 year degree or 3 years people management and Loss Mitigation (collections, repo, skip, recovery, etc.) experience in the financial services industry . Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Auto Finance Collections Skip and Repossession a plus- Experience in managing multiple call center teams- Proven ability to develop and achieve aggressive results - Strong leadership and people management skills as exhibited by past success - The ability to operate efficiently in an unstructured, ambiguous and constantly changing environment - The ability to make quick and accurate decisions which may, at times, be based on limited information - A demonstrated understanding of general management principles derived from college level courses and/or on the job experience. - Demonstrated strength in applying integrative decision making and driving towards results - Passion to be a thought leader, leverage networks for learning, be proactive in driving change and take risks by experimenting - Demonstrate a strong drive and commitment for delivering outstanding results - Strong analytical and execution/implementation skills - Very strong written and verbal communication skills Other Information: - Location: Tampa, FL - Schedule will typically be Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm and is subject to change with business needNo agencies please.
