Datamart Specialist with strong Business Systems Analyst experience

Location: Woodbridge, NJ 07095 Employment Type: Full Time, Employee Expected Duration: 2+ to 5 Years Reference Code: 1001134040 We have an excellent client located in Woodbridge, NJ that has the following Full Time need.  We are seeking a DataMart Specialist with expertise in Business Systems.  This Datamart Specialist will be strong is Business Systems. POSITION SUMMARY:Working closely with various business communities and business analysts, the Business Systems Specialist is responsible for design, development, implementation and maintenance of various SQL Server datamarts and OLAP reporting cubes. The role also entails development and maintenance of various ETL processes built using Microsoft’s DTS and SSIS technologies.   ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Managing and executing various datamart projects and processes for various businesses by: Analyzing, solving, and creating solutions to meet reporting and analytical needs. Designing and maintaining database tables using dimensional design techniques. Developing and maintaining ETL processes into and out of various datamarts. Developing and maintaining various Analysis Service cubes. Setting up and supporting automated job streams. Troubleshooting and resolving system problems in conjunction with the outsourced service provider and other IS team members. Managing migration of SQL Server upgrades for datamart ETL and cubes. Data mapping and documentation of source and target data structures and ETL processes. Designing and implementing data warehouse process improvements. Handling systems support and changes to accommodate changes in operating environment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: BS in Computer Science/related discipline At least 3-5 years SQL development work experience required, including developing ETL interfaces in a data warehouse environment using Star Schema design principles. Experience in data analysis, logical modeling, physical database design, relational and dimensional database, and data architecture Experience working closely with business users. Experience with Reporting Services   SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms to effectively interface with all levels of management. Strong problem-solving ability and ability to quickly analyze and understand source and target data structures Strong and demonstrable SQL Server 2005 skills including DTS, SSIS, TSQL, stored procedures, and functions VBA programming skills required. Ability to work both independently and within a team Ability to manage multiple projects and requests at one time. VB.NET, Cognos Reporting, Excel Pivot Table Services, Biztalk, XML concepts, and Microsoft Access skills a plus.
