Database Administrator/IT Support
West Suburban PADS, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization, serves the needs of homeless individuals and families in west suburban Cook County. Our agency offers a continuum of care for program participants from emergency shelter, supportive services, supportive housing and homeless prevention services. We provide a supportive working environment where employees work as a team to meet the needs of clients and move the organization forward.Job Title: Database Administrator/IT Support

Reports to: Executive Director
Job Summary: Has two areas of primary responsibility 1) for enhancing and managing the agency’s multi-user client database including: data management, simply data analysis and generating data reports for all programs and 2) maintaining the agencies computer server, computer equipment, hardware and software installations, maintenance upgrades and security.
Job Duties:Oversee all aspects of client database Oversee and manage the agency server, file/security permissions, user accounts, passwords and back-up system.Install, configure and provide maintenance to general office technology, computers, printers, internet, email and related hardware and software Generate service statistics and reports for staff, board and funding organizations on monthly, quarterly and annual basisResolve data integrity issuesAgency liaison to the county-wide Homeless Management and Information System (HMIS), a federally mandated client database and interfacing HMIS with the agency’s client database.Insure licensing, including anti-virus software, is current and complete.Make recommendations for data processing enhancements, hardware needs and system design.
Minimum Qualifications: Associates Degree or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities required: Ability to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy with little supervisionAbility to troubleshoot hardware, software and other operational problems and resolve.Working knowledge of Excel and Access applications
