Customer Service Associate (Dutch)
GENERAL PURPOSE OF POSITION Shutterstock.com is an online royalty-free stock image and footage agency located in Manhattan, and we're looking for a new Dutch speaking Customer Service and Sales employee to augment our team. Regardless of your experience, you should have a keen interest in and enthusiasm for photography (specifically stock) and design. In addition to general customer service responsibilities, you'll gain a wide range of experience, from online media business practices to stock photography from all angles, and you'll gain a foothold into the larger photo/design/marketing/ad arenas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but are not limited to the following:) -Attend to all aspects of customer service and customer relations. -Address customer concerns in courteous and professional manner. -Keep track of customer accounts/billing etc -Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers. -Provide email support -Assist customers with technical support related issues. This ranges from internet browser questions to imaging problems. -Maintain voicemail response and prompt follow-up to customer concerns. REQUIRED SKILLS In the Dutch language, you have writing, reading, speaking, and listening proficiency equal to that of a well-educated native. Without non-native errors of structure, spelling, style, or vocabulary, you can write, speak, and edit both formal and informal correspondence. -BA in design/photo related field or significant experience -In addition to English, you must be able to speak and write in Japanese with functionally native fluency -Some experience with telephone customer support -Basic understanding of Photoshop and digital imaging manipulation techniques -Some knowledge of typical stock photography licensing terms (such as royalty free vs rights managed, etc) -Self motivated, able to work independently -Highly organized and detail oriented -Fast learner -Ability to multitask in fast paced environment -Patience in assisting the less technically adept COMPUTER SKILLS Literate in Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office applications i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc. Familiarity with Abobe Illustrator is a plus! OPTIONAL SKILLS Proficiency in any of the following additional languages will be considered a plus: Japenese, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, or Mandarin.
