Title: Custom In-home Installer (Apprentice)

Location: Tweeter – Avon, CT

Work Schedule: Full-Time.  Shift starts at 7:30am – until job is complete

Compensation: Hourly, based on experience.

Benefits: Full benefit package after 90 days

Position Description: As a Home Theater Installer (Apprentice), you and your crew chief will travel to customer’s homes to install and test Home Theater products and provide technical advice.  Install fulfillment will range from basic audio/video connectivity to wall fishing wires for Home Theater installations. 

 

This is an entry-level position and while some experience is helpful, it is not necessary – both formal classroom and on-the-job training is available. 

 

Specific Job Duties:Basic understanding of running wires in new and existing construction Hook up and install a basic home theater system utilizing a surround receiver and at least 4 other components (including the TV) that will drive an in-wall/on-wall or freestanding 5-speaker surround package with sub-woofer. Program manufacturers remote. Ability to install specialty speakers (Bose, Pioneer, etc.) Properly terminate RF connectors, BNC connectors, RJ45 connectors and speaker wiringInstall speakers into drywall and on-wall indoor and outdoor speakerProgram manufacture remotes and demonstrate equipmentDevelop system design and surround sound set-up Complete billing statements and progress reports Responsible for crew work van – stocking parts, regular maintenance, etc.

Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school degree or equivalent.
