Credit and Collections Analyst

CREDIT ANALYST

 

The Credit Analyst will handle daily credit and collections functions.  The position will will work very closely with the other analysts and accounting supervisor on all daily functions.  The individual in this position must possess strong knowledge about credit and collections functions and must possess good written and verbal communication skills.  The qualified candidate will handle the following duties:

 Make phone calls to past due accounts to arrange payments  Liaison with sales department to resolve customer issuesMaintain history of customers contactsResearch and review accounts to determine appropriate credit limits and termsRetrieve credit reports for new accounts to be used for determining credit limitsCheck credit referencesPrepare weekly reports showing status of accounts for which the position is responsibleMonitor collections and payment activity of receivable accountsRelease orders from credit holds based on payment informationReview credit balance accountsPrepare collection letters for third party collections

 

Qualifications:Associates degree, preferably in accounting3 to 4 years of relevant experienceStrong communication skillsAbility to interact with other departmentsFamiliarity with Microsoft Excel and Word requiredMust be able to work independently as well as with a team
