Job Description:Well-established organization in the construction industry is currently looking for a controller. Selected candidates will have the following responsibilities: Report, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information in the firm. Provide support to the Regional Leaders and Management Team with financial operational management. Coordinate the financial aspects of the 5-year strategic plan and annual profit plan. Forecast both profit and loss and balance sheet accounts. Administer overall financial controls including applicable compliance, US GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Work with both internal and external auditors during both financial audits. Work with all teams to establish annual budgets and publish and review monthly budget reports and analyze any variances with each team/branch leader as well as overall support to the regional leaders. Manage Capital Spending projects and Fixed Asset records.Direct the preparation of the budget, business plans and financial forecasts, institutes and maintain other planning and control procedures (including job cost accounting system) provide analysis of report variances. Assist regions and branch offices in understanding their business plans. Establish and maintain financial objectives, goals, initiatives, policies and procedures. Assist CFO and the Management Team with due diligence and finance integrations of potential acquisitions as well as compiling and presenting financial project information to Project Directors and Project Managers. Monitor cash receipts and control disbursements as part of the general cash management system and contracts function. Forecast and recommend the use of lines of credit for operations or capital investments. Coordinate the profit sharing/401K/ESOP/125 accounting systems, records and reporting. Candidates with the following qualifications may be considered for the position:A Bachelors degree in accounting or finance and/or equivalent experience, CPA, and a minimum of ten (10) years increasingly responsible financial management experience, with five (5) years in a professional service firm is required. An understanding of SOX, ERISA requirements, FAR guidelines for government contracting, and five (5) years demonstrated experience in managing Finance staff and working with automated accounting systems required.
