Consumer Response Administrator

Dole Food Company, Inc., with 2006 revenues of $6.2 billion, is the world's largest producer and marketer of high-quality fresh fruit, fresh vegetables and fresh-cut flowers. Dole markets a growing line of packaged foods and frozen fruit and is a produce industry leader in nutrition and research. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION: As a frontline representative for Dole Food Company, Inc. the selected candidate will be responsible for handling and responding to consumer contacts received in the Dole Consumer Center via 800 #, e-mail and regular mail.The candidate will also assist the Sr. Systems Administrator to provide back-up support to the Dole Consumer Response department through management of the Wilke-Thorton Consumer Response system, develop and provide reports as requested.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION: -Encourage consumer repurchase of Dole products by responding in a courteous and professional manner with accurate, relevant information obtained from the consumer system database-Accurately and descriptively enter complete consumer contact information into database -Report contact trends, critical or unusual cases, incidents or issues to Consumer Response Director-Work closely with Sr. Systems Administrator to maintain operations of Wilke-Thorton Consumer Response system and other supporting systems-Develop reports for business divisions as requested-Analyze product information and provide reports to marketing, quality assurance and manufacturing-Download information from database and create Excel reports plus maintain 500+ existing reports-activities as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: -3 to 5 years of experience in the customer service industry-Strong working knowledge of PC applications including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database software ( Wilke-Thorton Consumer Response System software experience is a plus)-Food industry experience, a degree in Foods and Nutrition, baking/cooking experience a plus -Foreign language skills (Spanish, French) a plus -KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:1.
