Consultant, Implementation

MasterCard Worldwide Major Accountabilities are:Leading and managing the implementation of the different Debit MasterCard products and services for customers typically assigned to a regional market under the supervision of the Implementation Consultant. Demonstrated Customer Relationship Management best practices. This includes coordinating and completing the implementation of products and services for new and existing customers, as well as exhibiting a model team focused behavior with the ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct report lines. Must be able to leverage technology and assets to deliver on strategic business and corporate objectives. The candidate must have a good knowledge on corporate strategy and leverage an appropriate organizational view to understand where each implementation, each objective, each project falls within the bigger picture In partnership with the Customer Group and Account Management Teams, defining the most suitable and efficient technical solution for customer implementations. Assume responsibility for organizing, planning and controlling all related project activities across various departments within MasterCard with end to end ownership of implementation projects. Ensuring the necessary synchronization with the related implementation activities on the customer side. May be responsible for all budgeting and invoicing activities impacting customers. May contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures and tools to support the CIS team in its core functionality. Expected to have a mentor-level knowledge on both credit and debit applications as well as developing a technical understanding for products that are new to CIS to support. Experience/Knowledge Extended knowledge of data processing standards and financial industry/banking operations practices. Extended knowledge of relevant host operating system environments, communication protocols, and member applications, technically proficient in several corporate applications. Education:University education or equivalent work experience in bankcard industry (business and technology areas)Technical Skills Proficient with MS Office Suite and Lotus Notes Strong knowledge of universal standards (ISO 8583, 3DES Encryption, etc) Working knowledge of the TCP/IP communication protocol and applications such as Telnet and FTP that use TCP. TCP/IP troubleshooting skills. Operating knowledge with EBCDIC vs. ASCII character encoding sets Operating knowledge of IBM S/390 mainframes, AS/400, Tandem, distributed systems, and Electronic File Transfer strongly preferred Working knowledge of PC's and networksAdditional Skills A minimum of 7 years of experience in business development and project management in the Payment method industry required Strong oral and written communication, research, negotiation and relationship management skills necessary. Must demonstrate effective leadership and negotiation skills. Strong Account management/relationship management skills required. Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills necessary.
