Compliance Manager

•Location:    Melville, NY 11747•Job Status:    Full Time, Employee•Job Category:    Customer Support/Client Care•Career Level::    Experienced (Non-Manager)Compliance Manager Job Description:This important role is part of the Corporate Compliance Operations and Infrastructure team which provides support to the Chief Compliance Officer and Bank Corporate Compliance teams. The team is seeking an experienced Manager for the Compliance Assurance Review (CAR) team.This position, aligned to the Banking businesses, is responsible for performing risk-based compliance testing, including validation of specific compliance controls and evaluation of business processes for adherence to lending and deposit consumer & commercial compliance requirements. Responsibilities include (but may not be limited to): · Designing and executing complex testing/validation activities for consumer & commercial lending and deposits compliance requirements· Analyzing data from multiple sources, systematically documenting the work and results· Engaging with subject matter experts in Compliance, the Business, Legalas needed to assess adherence to requirements (do we also want to add Audit, or indicate a consultative relationship?· Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with Compliance Officers & Advisors, as well as Business Area contacts as needed· Communicating results to Compliance Officers; Business Area Heads (as needed)· Interacting with internal and external auditors as neededJob Experience:Basic Qualifications · 3 years of financial services consumer compliance monitoring, auditing or examination experience · 4 year college degree Preferred Qualifications · 4+ years of financial services consumer compliance monitoring, auditing or examination experience· Strong working knowledge of retail banking operations · Ability to analyze and apply consumer regulatory requirements · Strong problem-solving and conceptual thinking · Strong oral and written communication skills · Self-directed; ability to develop schedules/project plans and work autonomously to meet deadlines· Strong attention to detail · Ability to deal positively with frequently changing demands· Working knowledge of and ability to apply MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.· CRCM, CAMS and/or CIPP Certification (if not, willingness to pursue) · Flexibility to travel to various Capital One locations if needed No agencies please.
