James Hardie is an Equal Opportunity Employer Compensation Professional Position Description:COMPENSATION PROFESSIONALPOSITION SUMMARYJames Hardie Building Products is seeking a Compensation Professional to join our Compensation team. This person will provide support for a wide range of compensation projects, programs, and initiatives which will be designed to support business strategies. He or she will assist in the creation, evaluation, implementation and maintenance of new compensation policies and programs. The Incumbent will participate in salary surveys and will conduct analysis and benchmarking, as well as participate in recognition and reward programs. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :- Responsible for the implementation, communication, and administration of the organization's compensation programs.- Ensures that compensation programs support the organization's strategic objectives.- Recommends Executive Annual Increases, Base, Bonuses, and Stock Plan.- Ensures all assigned jobs are properly evaluated to determine exemption status in accordance with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requirements and maintains required documentation.- Consults with department heads, managers, supervisors, and employees to analyze, document, and evaluates jobs and recommends/approves grade level changes, per level of approval authority.- Reviews existing executive bonus plan annually and determine modifications required to plan, hurdles, communication etc.- Conducts, participates in, and analyzes compensation surveys and other available competitor information at ensure all compensation programs are internally equitable and externally competitive. - Assists department with running reports, verifying employee data for accuracy, administration of merit, bonus and equity programs.- Accesses, creates and maintains reports from the HRIS system.POSITION REQUIREMENTS- Bachelor’s Degree- 4+ yrs of related experience- Experience in International Organizations preferred- Certified Compensation Professional Status preferred- Strong knowledge of Federal and State wage and hour laws- Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with management, staff, contractors, and public and private representatives.- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, required.- Ability to travel overnight by 80%BENEFITSIn return, we offer a competitive compensation plan that includes free full medical, dental and vision benefits effective on your first day with James Hardie for employee only, minimal cost for family coverage; 6% dollar for dollar matching 401(k) program; Tuition reimbursement; Generous paid vacation and holidays; Job training and development; Life insurance; Disability Income Protection (LTD); Flexible Spending Accounts; Employee Assistance Program; Discount tickets for amusement parks, recreation sites and movies, and much more!ABOUT THE COMPANYAt James Hardie Building Products we apply our science, research, and cutting edge technology to enjoy our continued status as a $1.5 billion world leader in fiber-cement technology.
