Spotlight
Primary Purpose - Schedule and ensure commercial advertisements air on cable networks per a client's contract.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
-Schedule commercials into available time slots, according to contract language.
-Manage inventory to ensure that all spots are placed correctly and inventory is front loaded on a daily basis.
-Ensure Commercial spots are aired according to contract requirements.
-Verify the airing of commercials.
-Maintain commercial advertising logs in relation to time conflicts, missing ad copy and other collision log items daily.
-Order entry and revisions on all orders received by sales offices as requested.
-Capture make goods on all fall out spots to salvage revenue by preparing daily/weekly reports to communicate them through out the month.
-Adhere to all traffic deadlines for order entry to ensure that we stay with the required log processing time.
-Research billing discrepancies as requested.
-Communicate daily with Insertion Editor on all missing spots in the MVL, ensuring that we have all ad copy.
-Work closely with Account Executives and managers to ensure that all required and requested data are given to them as needed. Strong communications on all traffic related issues that affect the processing of paperwork and any network related issues.
-Communicate inventory issues to Account Executives and managers, daily.
-Communicate traffic copy issues to Account Executives and managers, daily.
-Other duties as assigned.
-Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.
Required Skills:
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
-1-2 years media and/or traffic experience including experience in a customer service setting.
Education:
-High school or equivalent
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
-Strong detail orientation
-Ability to analyze and process a large amount of information to meet daily deadlines
-Media Traffic software knowledge
-Excellent communication skills
-Computer skills necessary to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint, Windows, Outlook
-Ability to work overtime, as needed
