Channel Marketing Coordinator

Midway is looking for a Channel Marketing Coordinator to join the exciting world of the video game entertainment industry and become a member of a team that has a direct impact on the success of Midway and its titles in the retail environment.  This position reports to the Director of Channel Marketing.

Specific job responsibilities include:
•  Partner with Midway’s sales team on specified U.S and Canadian retail accounts to implement compelling Channel Marketing tactics that generate high impact impressions with consumers and buyers and drives pre-sell goals for Midway’s frontline titles.  Tactics include in-store and on-line marketing and promotional programs (pre-sell, promotion, sweepstakes, product launch kits, mailings, email blasts).

•  Help identify cross promotional opportunities as well as pre-sell program ideas for appropriate retailers and partners.

•  Partner with sales on specified retail accounts to present/pitch product when necessary.  

•  Communicate directly with buyers, retail representatives, sales representatives, Product Managers, Legal and Creative Services to execute retail marketing programs and produce accurate and concise print, in-store and online collateral, as well as sales presentations.

•  Collect buyer orders for POP materials (point of purchase) and submit for approval.   

•  Efficiently maximize use of resources and budgets by maintaining and developing new and existing relationships with vendors.

•  Direct outside vendors and enforce deadlines and budgets.

•  Handle budget tracking, submits purchase orders, and processes invoices.

•  Participate in retail manager shows, industry tradeshows and company events where needed.

•  Coordinate & maintain calendar communications (assets, previews, marketing updates, sales support materials) and distribute assets to all internal and external parties on a regular basis to ensure incorporation into retail partners’ marketing materials and product pages.  

•  Additional responsibilities such as: retail online compliance and asset management.


Job Requirements:
•  A degree in Marketing or 2+ years of previous retail marketing and/or consumer marketing experience (video game industry background a plus)

•  Presentation experience

•  Advanced skills in MS Office products

•  Knowledge of the retail environment including implementation of retail marketing and promotional programs is a plus. 

•  Previous experience in dealing with outside vendors is a plus 

•  Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

•  Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational skills

•  The ability to travel both nationally and internationally when necessary
