Certified Internal Auditor: - Banking - Direct Hire

Job Description:Job Description: Coordinates or conducts operational, financial, forensic and compliance audits as assigned by Internal Audit management with a high degree of professional competence and technical expertise: oDetermines and/or recommends the scope and objectives of assigned audits utilizing the technical tools/techniques that are most appropriate and productive; oManages multiple operational, financial, forensic and compliance audit projects and staff assigned to the project to achieve the scope, timing, and objectives of each assignment; oIdentifies opportunities and presents effective oral or written communications to make recommendations for improving internal control & operational effectiveness and efficiency; oGuides the preparation of work paper documentation to ensure quality of such documentation in accordance with professional standards; oUtilizes an understanding of LPS business activities in performing audit procedures; oParticipates in IA departmental improvement projects to automate procedures, methods, and standards to improve departmental efficiency, productivity and quality; oGains management concurrence and support for recommended control improvements; and oPromotes teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members. Minimum Requirements: oBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other business related program; oStrong oral and written skills; o4+ years of audit experience (Public Accounting experience preferred); oAbility to maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information; oCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA); oGood analytical ability (qualitative and quantitative) to draw sound conclusions; oProficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook required. Proficiency in ACL & Visio preferred; oProficiency with generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards; oUnderstanding of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements; oDemonstrated knowledge and proper application of sampling techniques; oSkilled in working with MS Office and Visio; oExperience in documenting business processes, identifying key controls, determining appropriate testing procedures, etc.; oAbility to thrive in and enjoy a dynamic, fast-paced environment; and oTravel ranges from 20-50%.
