We're looking for an experienced Customer Service Engineer with solid SQL experience.Responsibilities: -Primary responsibility to interface with customers, debug and resolve customer issues.-Provide high quality technical support in regards to the Company's Performance Server. -Deliver timely and high quality incident resolution focusing on root cause analysis, prevention, and knowledge transfer. -Work with developers to identify and implement enhancements to the product to improve robustness and serviceability.-Manage escalations and sub-cases to ensure timely and high quality resolution of all issues. Develop and implement strategies for providing proactive support resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, or accelerated deployments. -Initiate and participate in triage meetings to share knowledge with other engineers and to efficiently resolve customer problems. -Work at the customer site, if required. Should be able to travel outside the United States if required.



Job Experience:Background required:Must have extensive knowledge of SQL. Must have experience in SQL query analysis, re-writing queries and database performance optimization Strong RDBMS knowledge with at least two SQL databases including one of the following: Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Informix, Postgresql, or Microsoft SQL Server.Production database system administration and support is a major plus.Demonstrated technical competence with UNIX and database technologies.Strong knowledge of TCP/IP is also a plus.Experience working in a 24x7 support environment.10+ years experience in technical support, development or sustaining engineering.Experience that is relevant working with customers to resolve issues.Experience/Education Required:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline and minimum of 5-10 years of customer support, sustaining or development relevant experience
