CD/ IRA Department Manager

•Location:    New Orleans, LA 70112•Job Status:    Full Time, Employee•Job Category:    Customer Support/Client Care•Career Level::    Experienced (Non-Manager)CD/ IRA Department Manager Job Description:Responsible for the operational administration of all Individual Retirement Accounts, Self-Employed Plans, Qualified Retirement Plans, Certificates of Deposit, and Christmas Club Accounts. Functions include setting up and maintaining accounts and IRA plans. Provide support to clients and all banking personnel. Verify and correct appropriate year-end CD and IRA tax reporting. Submit IRS corrections for CD and IRA accounts. Maintain the IRA Master File. Publish the IRA Newsletter quarterly. Ensure all Retirement Plan customers are notified of any IRS regulatory changes. Ensure all IRA forms are in compliance with the IRS regulations. Scan, index and verify bank documents. Review daily reports to ensure accuracy and operational procedures are followed. Ensure documents are maintained to promote IRS compliant. Assist in training of new employees. Assist in IRA Web training. Update the IRA training manual on intranet. Calculate and set up require distributions. Monitor and maintain system integrity. Ensure the monthly audits are completely timely and accurately. Update department procedures. Supervise employees. Assign job duties monthly. Complete employee reviews. Ensure employees are updated on all IRS and Capital One rules and regulations pertaining to CD’s or IRA accounts. Verify all ST rates on mainframe.Job Experience:BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:- High School Diploma or GED - 4 years of banking experience, preferably in operations and working with IRS regulations regarding Qualified Retirement Plans, information reporting, and backup withholding. - 3 years supervisory experienceNo agencies please.
