Business Manager/Project Accountant

- Manages all project accounting functions to include but not limited to client engagement including reviewing or performing accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation and to month-end close.- Prepares standard monthly management reports, profit & loss and cost/benefit analyzes and related reports.- Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to accurately forecast cash flow and the overall financial position of the client.- Administers payables including maintaining records, balances, and financial information/receipts, verifying invoices and updating the General Ledger.- Administers receivables, maintaining records, balancing financial information, verifying invoices and reconciliation of the General Ledger.- Conducts payroll audits.- Researches discrepancies and works to clear the issues.- Prepares profit & loss and cost/benefit analyzes and related reports.- Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments and obligations to accurately forecast cash flow and the overall financial position of the client.- Prepares budgets. - Periodically processes all Accounts Payable: match & code vendor invoices, enter information into the company database.- Periodically processes and files check runs on a timely basis. - Maintains working relationship with vendors & resolve any invoicing discrepancies or concerns.- Processes monthly billing.- Assists with month-end / quarter-end / year-end closings as needed.- Manages General Accounting & Finance Department projects, as needed.- Provides project status reports to Deputy Project Manager, reflecting balances on all Renovation projects within the facility. - Provides requests to modify contract to contracting Officer as needed and a financial spreadsheet reflecting break-out of the total amount needed.- Enters Notices to Proceed (NTPs) into CostPoint.- Works closely with the COR to provide financial reports upon request.- Performs other duties as assigned.MON HJ For quick consideration Click here to apply Position Requirements - Bachelors Degree in finance or accounting.- Government Cost Accounting.- Government Accounting, Financial Reporting and Budgeting, Management Concepts.- Government Financial Management and Control, Management Concepts.- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Impromptu, Deltek CostPoint, MS Project, MS Visio, and MS Access.- Certified Public Accountant, Certified Government Financial Manager.- Must be able to obtain a Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.
