Demonstrate knowledge of the market and competitors, and what sets Buck apartStrive to achieve a connection with clients and prospectsNetwork ? keep in touch with people as they leave clients, audit or law firms or elsewhere to help you in business development for the firm.PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT SKILLS Assist in interviewing, recruiting and hiring high quality staff Mentor and train staff, continually focusing on developmental opportunities Network within Buck (including other offices) demonstrating support and respect of Buck peers Conduct meaningful performance appraisals of direct reports. Take appropriate action, when necessary. Lead a highly efficient staff with high chargeable timeProfessional Credentials Buck strongly supports the attainment of professional credentials by our staff. This is vitally important to the company, our clients and to the candidate's career development. Buck's practice standards will specify which credentials are required for performing certain client services. To become a Director, someone functioning as an actuary must be enrolled and you are strongly encouraged to become an Associate or a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries.
