Bilingual Collections $13.00

Our client in the Irving area is looking for a bilingual collections representative. Must have at least 2-5 years previous experience in collections.

Basic Function:

To support the Collection Department collect on delinquent accounts primarily through making effective collection calls.

 

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

1.  Telephone Calls

Ø  Make outbound calls to delinquent cardholders

Ø  Handle incoming calls from delinquent cardholders

Ø  Communicate with banks, debt counselors, and others on cardholder delinquent accounts

2.  Clearly annotate account records as to the disposition of the telephone contacts or other key data that will assist in future collection activity.

3.  Skip Tracing

Ø  Use tool available to collectors (Fast Data, Credit Bureau, etc) in attempts to locate cardholders

4.  Review and process incoming correspondence pertaining to assigned accounts

5.  Encourage the use of payment by phone and process these requests

6.  Assist other collectors or other credit card areas as needed

7.  Perform other duties as associated with the Collection Associate function, as assigned by management.

 

Requirements / Desired Qualifications:

Ø  Must be able to work two evenings per week and two Saturdays (8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) per month.  Friday work schedules are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Overtime as needed.

Ø  Minimum of one year of collection experience in a credit card or retail environment. 

Ø  Strong computer skills, familiar with the Word, and proficient in Outlook or similar product (like Lotus). 

Ø  Familiarity with the First Data (FDR) collection system a plus. 

Ø  Some college preferred.

Ø  Good interpersonal skills with emphasis on verbal communications.

Ø  Regular and punctual attendance is required

Ø  Individual should possess good interpersonal skills.

Ø  Individual should be able to work within a team environment.

Ø  Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
