Burlington Coat Factory is an Equal Opportunity Employer.  DESCRIPTIONResponsible for managing, developing and implementing policies and benefits plans covering group life, savings plans, short and long-term disability, and related benefit programs to ensure proper program administration. This will include directing benefit training, developing and implementing changes, auditing application practices, maintaining documentation, ensuring compliance, reviewing effectiveness, analyzing insurance data, coordinating vendors, consultants and insurance reps and keeping abreast of the industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design development and related cost analysis. Directing welfare plan vendors to insure compliance with plan provisions and resolve issues Manage the reporting and requirements of benefit programs such as medical plans, dental plans, STD/LTD/life/AD&D, 401(K), etc. Manage the interface for passing benefits data and deductions from Oracle to the payroll processing function. Developing and implementing robust employee education and integrated communication plans Enhance the benefit section of the Company's HR intranet Ensuring plan integrity and compliance Oversee internal and external plan audits. Manage plan filings including form preparation, financial statement review and completion of disclosure requirements. Ensure customer service levels are maintained at high level. Assure compliance with company policies and government regulations as well as the confidentiality and integrity of benefit information. Develop a procedure for managers concerning all types of leaves of absence including but not limited to FMLA, disability, Workers Compensation, etc. Assist with the evaluation and comparison of existing benefits with those of other employers and/or companies being acquired by analyzing other plans, surveys, and other sources of information.  QUALIFICATIONS Education   Business and communication skills as acquired with a four-year degree   Type and Number Years of Experience At least 5 years of demonstrated experience with comprehensive benefit plans administration including carrier management, employee communication and implementation and development/management experience with all types of benefit plans as outlined above. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations  Experience with self-insured plansSkills Oracle HRMS and Payroll familiarity preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office is required Ability to effectively communicate with management. Excellent presentation skills, analytical abilities and very detail oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Planning, organization, and problem solving skills. Ability to conduct oneself with a high level of confidentiality and initiative.
